Langwell is a classic Highland Sporting Estate adjoining Assynt which is set within a magnificent landscape which has recently been refurbished and extended.
Glassal undertook the design and installation of a hardwood timber conservatory that includes a sloped glazed curtain wall roof and structural glass walls. Working closely with the Project Team, Glassal overcame the technical challenges of constructing an all glass enclosure without reverting to lighter weight products and materials, thereby maintaining the environmental performance required of the enclosure. Double glazed structural glass units were proposed for the conservatory walling in order to maximise the views out over the estate towards the mountains beyond.
